Pro Edition

Release history for Nexus Telemetry Pro

v1.0.8

Fixed

  • Router trend charts now use a fixed time-window scale — the 1hr, 6hr, 12hr, and 24hr views maintain their full axis width as data fills in from the right, instead of stretching to fit available data
  • Switching between 6hr, 12hr, and 24hr trend views now correctly displays data — previously the charts appeared empty due to an internal sampling issue
  • Router trend chart data is now properly downsampled at all zoom levels, keeping charts readable as data accumulates over time
  • Release notes link in settings now opens the correct edition-specific changelog on the docs site
  • Waterfall bar labels in the router latency breakdown are now readable in light mode

v1.0.7

New

  • **Multi-Source GPS** — Connect external GPS devices via Serial USB, NMEA over TCP/UDP, or gpsd as an alternative to Starlink's built-in dish GPS (being removed 20 May 2026). Configure sources, set priority order, and enable auto-fallback in the new Geolocation settings panel. Includes a live position preview and raw NMEA debug console.

Improved

  • Auto-failover connects to the next GPS source in priority order within 5 seconds when the active source loses its fix or disconnects.
  • Geolocation settings fully translated across all 36 supported languages.

Fixed

  • Serial GPS disconnection on Windows is now detected reliably when the USB dongle is physically removed.
  • Linux no longer lists hundreds of phantom legacy serial ports — only real hardware appears.
  • Location card correctly shows "Starlink" as the source instead of "Manual" when using dish GPS.

v1.0.6

New

  • Manual Location — Set your dish location manually from an interactive map when GPS is unavailable or deprecated. Coordinates are saved between sessions and used for weather, session routes, and the Starlink viewer. A banner prompts first-time users to set their location.
  • Snow Melt on Health Bar — Snow melt status now appears in the system health footer alongside subsystems, bandwidth, and actuator state.

Fixed

  • Snow melt label — Displays "Idle" instead of the raw "UNKNOWN" value when snow melt is not engaged.

v1.0.5

New

  • Display Scale — Added Extra Small (80%) and Small (90%) options, expanding the range below the previous 100% minimum. Useful when system display scale is already set high or when fitting more into dense views like the stats sidebar.

Fixed

  • Welcome screen — Now scrolls when content exceeds the window height, and Ctrl+/-/0 zoom shortcuts work immediately on launch. Previously, large system text scaling could clip the continue button out of reach.
  • First-run dialogs — Licensing, analytics, and hardware consent dialogs now scroll internally when content is taller than the window, so buttons stay reachable at any text scale.
  • Linux AppImage — App-grid shortcut now points at the AppImage file itself rather than a temporary mount path, so relaunching from GNOME works across sessions. Also refreshes automatically if the AppImage is moved.

v1.0.4

New

  • GPS Hint — Displays a helpful prompt on the location card, weather card, Starlink Viewer, and session recording when GPS location is unavailable, guiding users to enable location services in the Starlink app.

Improved

  • App now checks for updates every hour instead of only at startup.

Fixed

  • Starlink Viewer — Automatically recovers from WebGL context loss (e.g. GPU memory pressure) instead of showing a blocking error dialog. The globe silently rebuilds without requiring an app restart.
  • Reboot modal now renders correctly in light mode using theme-aware colours.

v1.0.3

Improved

  • **Starlink Viewer** — TLE satellite data now refreshes more intelligently by checking remote metadata before downloading, avoiding unnecessary fetches and keeping orbital positions up to date with less overhead.
  • **Starlink Viewer** — The status bar is now responsive and adapts to narrower window sizes.

Fixed

  • Terminal IDs are now automatically blurred in session recordings when blur mode is active.

v1.0.2

New

  • **Blur Mode** — Instantly blur sensitive information such as GPS coordinates, IP addresses, device IDs, and map tiles with a single click. Perfect for sharing screenshots in forums and communities without exposing personal data.
  • **Screenshot Capture** — Capture the entire application window and save it directly to your Downloads folder. Screenshots are also copied to the clipboard and opened automatically for easy sharing. Sensitive data is automatically blurred during capture. Use the camera icon in the sidebar or press Ctrl+Shift+C.

Improved

  • **Starlink Viewer** — TLE satellite data now refreshes every hour instead of every six hours, keeping orbital positions more accurate. A new refresh button in the status bar lets you manually fetch the latest data at any time. The status bar now shows three distinct data points: TLE age, epoch age, and last checked time.

v1.0.1

Fixed

  • Fixed PDF reports showing missing characters (tofu) in Japanese, Korean, and Thai by adding fallback font support for non-Latin scripts.
  • Fixed the session duration dropdown showing a 5-minute option for licensed users — this is now only visible during a trial. Added a new 6-hour duration option.

v1.0.0

New

  • Initial release
